Welcome to Wednedsay Night Open Curling
The Springbank Curling Club is offering Open Curling League on Wednesday nights. This format alows for more flexibility and choice for teams as there are no limits to the composition of each team or order of play!
Each team's total points for the entire year will determine the "Wednesday Aggregate Champion".
· There are 22 draws (nights) and divisions will be determined based on the number of teams.
2025/2026 Format
Round One: 15 Weeks
Open Round
- Single RR
- All teams will have a chance to play every other team in round one
- Standings after round one will be used to place teams into 4 Divisions
Round Two: 3 Weeks
Seeding Round
THIS IS A FINAL SEEDING ROUND BEFORE PLAYDOWNS
Based on the standings after the open round robin is complete, there will be 4 pools of 4 teams that play a single round robin.
The results from this seeding round will be used to create the playoff brackets for the finals.
A Division top 4 Teams after round one
B Division Teams
C Division 4 Teams
D Division 4 Teams
After the seeding round is complete, the top two teams from each pool will be promoted and the bottom two teams will be relegated when creating the playoff brackets.
Round Three: 3 Weeks
Playdown Round
Standings, and aggregate points will be posted shortly with update of SCC's website.
Points will be awarded for each divisional games;

· If two or more teams are tied for highest points after any Division draw, winners will be determined by the following criteria: The team with the best win/loss record for games played against the other tied teams will be awarded the top spot and the associated cash prize.
